Arron Monk made another step towards a guaranteed place in the last 64 of the UK Open finals with a run to the last sixteen at Barnsley Metrodome before Wayne Jones knocked him out.
Robbie Newland and Steve Musson enhanced their own chances in the race to the Reebok Stadium with places in the last 64. Newland was beaten by Mark Cox and Musson by Arron Monk.
Mark Walsh beat John Part in the final.
