JAMES WADE made it through to the quarter finals at the Robin Park Tennis Centre, Wigan but was whitewashed 6-0 by local hero Louis Blundell. Wade collected £800 towards the Order of Merit.
Steve Musson beat Wayne Mardle to reach the last 64 but went down 6-2 to Chris Allen. Sam Rooney lost by the same score at the same stage to James Wade. Both picked up £200.
There were early defeats for Robbie Newland, Arron Monk, Ian Jopling, Colin Monk, Andy Jenkins and Ricky Williams in the £30,000 event.
Dennis Priestley beat Colin Lloyd 6-1 in the final to take the top prize of £6,000.
