JAMES WADE made the last sixteen at the Brentwood Centre losing out to former World Champion Steve Beaton.
Ricky Williams was a narrow loser to Wayne Mardle in the last 64. Andy Jenkins was beaten at the same stage by Justin Pipe.
Phil Taylor took the top prize of £6,000 against Ronnie Baxter in the final.
