JAMES WADE gets his 2009 Whyte & Mackay Premier League Darts fixtures underway on Thursday evening live on Sky Sports.
The Aldershot left hander reached the final at his first attempt last season, and also inflicted a first ever defeat in the event on Phil Taylor.
Taylor has however won each of the four events since its inception and starts favourite for the £125,000 top prize.
Wade kicks off against three time World Champion John Part in the first match of the night at the Echo Arena, Liverpool in front of the biggest live audience in the game.
'Matador ' Jelle Klaasen faces 'The Bull' Terry Jenkins and Mervyn King plays Wayne Mardle.
Phil Taylor and Raymond van Barneveld reprise the 2009 World Final in the last match of the evening.
Each player will play the other competitors twice over the 14 nights and the top four players will fight it out in the final play-offs at Wembley Arena at the end of May. The total prize fund for the event is £400,000
