COLIN MONK lost to Steve Brown in the last 16 of the first of two £30,000 Pro Tour events at the van der Valk Hotel, Nuland.
He had earlier eliminated Vincent van der Voort and Alex Roy.
Andy Jenkins was beaten in the first round by Mensur Suljovic.
Phil Taylor edged out Gary Anderson by 6-5 in a spectacular final. Taylor averaged over 116 and Anderson over 108. At 5-4 down Taylor missed a double eighteen for a nine dart game, clearing up in 11 and winning the title with 12 further darts.
A second event takes place at the same venue tomorrow afternoon.
